  • My Experience as a Craft and Art Fair Juror

This past weekend I had the privilege of sitting on a jury for a local craft and art fair. The experience was both fun and extremely educational. Giving me a vital inside look at the process of selecting artists to be represented in this competitive show. I'll touch on all aspects of the application, including; the slides individually and as a whole, the booth shot, the item descriptions, and the artist statement. I also discuss some of the more unusual aspects of the jury process like looking out for buy/sell "artists" and the use of new technology and tools. Hopefully as an applicant, you can learn something from my experience, and use this knowledge to enhance your application and get into more shows you apply to!
